PLAYFARE

PLAYFARE is an original indie pop/rock band based in Leeds, where I contribute as bassist, songwriter, and organisational lead. Known for their introspective lyrics and vibrant, high-energy sound, PLAYFARE have become a standout presence in the Leeds music scene since early 2023, captivating audiences with dynamic performances and memorable hooks.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Nothing But Thieves, Nieve Ella, Swim School, Lorde, and Lizzie McAlpine, the band has developed a distinctive sonic identity that blends modern rock, alt-pop, and indie influences. Formed at Leeds Conservatoire, the group—Gina, Rob, Dan, Dom, and myself—joined forces through a shared passion for contemporary alternative music.

In my role, I not only perform and co-write but also support the band’s organisational direction, helping to coordinate rehearsals, logistics, gig planning, and artistic development.

PLAYFARE have headlined sold-out shows across the North of England, including performances at Oporto (Leeds) and The Jacaranda (Liverpool), supported successful touring acts such as Gathering of Strangers, and collaborated with national promoters like This Feeling. Freshly graduated, the band is now focused on expanding its reach to new cities and preparing to release a series of exciting new projects for both current and future audiences.
